Historical old city
The old town of Bad Waldsee is nestled between the city lake and the castle lake, in the middle of the beautiful landscape of Upper Swabia. Every Monday at 1:30 p.m. there is a city tour through the town hall, the historic old town and the collegiate church of St. Peter. The tour lasts approximately 1.5 hours and is free for individuals. The city of Bad Waldsee also offers group tours upon request (from approx. 25 people), we would be happy to help you with the organization.

The city lake
The city lake is located directly in the old town of Bad Waldsee and has an area of 14.7 hectares. A continuous riverside path of around 2.4 km leads around the city lake. There is the "Stadtsee-Aktivweg", which offers all kinds of play equipment for young and old at 5 stations. There are also 7 experience stations such as a barefoot path, water treading area, herbal spiral and a labyrinth - in keeping with Sebastian Kneipp's health philosophy. Along the riverside path, cafés, restaurants and the house on the city lake invite you to linger.
Waldsee-Therme
Thermal water containing fluoride and sulfur from a depth of almost 2,000 meters, at almost 65°C the hottest spring in all of Upper Swabia. However, for pleasant bathing pleasure, the temperatures in the four indoor and two large outdoor pools are cooled down to a moderate 28 to 37 degrees. Power up with aquabiking or relax and dream with underwater music, the Waldsee thermal baths offer pure activity and relaxation. The cold waterfall, a lap in the treading pool, whirlpools, bubble loungers, massage jets, jet stream and steam sauna complete the healthy bathing pleasure.

Hiking trails
In and around Bad Waldsee there are many beautiful hiking trails that lead through the beautiful landscape of Upper Swabia. From the leisurely walk around the city lake to the hike to the Grabener Höhe, from where you can enjoy a stunning view of the foothills of the Alps. With routes ranging from 2 km without a difference in altitude, which are ideal for walking, to short hikes of up to 10 km and an altitude difference of 260 m, there is something for everyone. In the 6,000 m² permanent exhibition, over 80 historic caravans, motorhomes and cars are integrated into an exciting world of experience. Get to know the cultural and historical background of caravanning, immerse yourself in the history of the pioneers, and find out exciting facts about technology, development, production and design. A museum for the whole family to touch and participate in.

Spaetzle Museum
The first spaetzle museum in the world. They are undoubtedly typically Swabian - the spaetzle, which in Upper Swabia is often served as a side dish or as a main course in the form of cheese spaetzle. The tradition of this irresistible pastry goes back centuries and has long since made history. In the Bad Waldseer Spaetzle Museum you can experience up close what our spaetzle is all about.

Tannenbühl climbing park
In the approximately 14,000 square meter forest area, 9 courses with 170 exercises await you over a total length of approx. 2,100 meters. The different difficulty levels of the courses ensure that everyone can test their limits. There is no pressure to move, everyone sets their own pace. Thanks to the three-story central platform, you can take a break at any time and then get back on the course.

Beach and outdoor swimming pool
A tree-lined meadow landscape stretches over 30,000 m² between the beach and outdoor pool. On the one hand, the lake invites swimmers to swim for longer stretches in the cool water. In addition, a 21x50m sports pool, a non-swimmer pool, a children's paddling pool and a giant slide offer bathing fun for every taste.

Wolfegg Farmhouse Museum
The Wolfegg Farmhouse Museum is located in the middle of the gentle hilly landscape of Upper Swabia. With 16 original farmhouses and farm buildings, there is an insight into the living and working conditions of the rural population: faithfully furnished rooms, chambers, stables and workshops, lovingly maintained farm gardens and numerous festivals and special events invite you to linger and discover. New since 2012: the large Swabian children exhibition.

Beer Mug Museum
In 1994, not only Germany's first, but the only beer mug museum in the world opened on the grounds of the SCHUSSENRIEDER adventure brewery. It is more than just an exhibition of historical beer mugs. Here you will find an adventure through five centuries of drinking culture and a lively documentation of past values surrounding beer and beer mugs. The collection shows around 1,200 historical beer mugs from the years 1550 to 1925 on two floors. Documented from precious cult objects to modern promotional items the exhibition the history of the beer mug.

Cross-country skiing in Bad Waldsee
When the snow conditions are good, our golf course turns into a paradise for cross-country skiers in the winter months. There are two classic trails, each 9 km long, and a skating trail, 5 km long. The entrance to all cross-country ski trails is directly at the Waldsee Golf Resort. Day and season tickets are sold at the hotel reception. Information about the condition of the cross-country ski trails and the opening of the cross-country ski trails can be found here or at the hotel reception on 07524 4017-0.
